Shanekah Johnson is an accomplished arts and entertainment executive whose career spans the national music and entertainment industry, artist and client management, public relations, and major event production. She currently serves as Executive Director of the NOCCA Foundation, where she leads efforts to expand access to exceptional arts education, strengthen philanthropic partnerships, and create opportunities for emerging creative talent.
A proud alumna of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), Johnson served on the NOCCA Foundation Board of Directors for nearly a decade, including as Board President, before transitioning into her current executive role.
With extensive experience across the business and creative sides of entertainment, Johnson brings a unique perspective to arts leadership. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between arts education and professional opportunity, ensuring that emerging artists have the resources, connections, and support to sustainable careers while advancing New Orleans’ vibrant cultural and creative economy.
