Wellness Summit

Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of your music career.

The NOLA MusiCon Wellness Summit, presented in partnership with the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic & Assistance Foundation, brings together health professionals, musicians, and industry experts for conversations about the physical and mental health challenges that come with working in music.

From managing stress and burnout to staying healthy throughout your career, the summit offers practical advice and resources to help artists take care of themselves and keep doing what they love for years to come.

Here are a few of the free health screenings and services available during NOLA MusiCon!

Free Blood Pressure Screenings

The AmeriHealth Caritas van will be parked in front of the Jazz & Heritage Center on October 29 and 30, offering free blood pressure screenings. Just stop by the van—no appointment needed!

Lung Cancer Screenings

Lung cancer screenings will be available at the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic, located less than two miles from the conference venue. Interested in getting screened? Stop by the Musicians’ Clinic table at the conference to learn more, or scan the QR code in the above flyer to complete the eligibility assessment.  We encourage you to do so by October 29 to make the process as easy as possible. Fees for uninsured musicians will be paid for by NOMC&AF.

Free HIV Testing

The New Orleans Health Department’s Ryan White HIV Services team will be onsite offering free HIV testing and distributing at-home test kits.

Ask the Pharmacist 

Have questions about your medications or want to learn more about taking care of your health? Stop by Ask the Pharmacist for a free, personalized health check-in! Pharmacists will be available to answer questions about medications, side effects, and supplements, offer practical nutrition advice, and provide free BMI screenings. It’s a great opportunity to get helpful information and ask questions in a friendly, judgment-free setting. No appointment needed—just stop by!
