Jacob Peters is Executive Director of the Bayou District Foundation, where he leads the continued revitalization of Columbia Parc in New Orleans. The community includes mixed-income housing, schools, health care facilities, and programs that support children and families.
With close to two decades of experience in community development, Peters has helped raise over $20 million in philanthropic capital, leveraging it to support a redevelopment effort valued at approximately $375 million. He is a member of the Presidential Leadership Scholars Class of 2026 and a Senior Fellow at the Melton Foundation. Through his leadership and participation in global problem-solving initiatives, Peters works to strengthen communities and expand opportunity through sustainable development and education.
