Brittney focuses her practice on litigation matters and client counseling in entertainment, intellectual property, music, technology, employment, and other general business and liability matters on behalf of individual and corporate clients. Brittney also structures and negotiates entertainment transactions for individuals and corporations in the music, television, film, and sports industries. Her clients include artists, songwriters, actors, influencers, producers, publishers, and athletes.
Before starting her own practice, Brittney was the Los Angeles based associate of Billboard Top Music Lawyer Richard S. Busch, for whom her experience included litigation and counseling involving some of the biggest stars and creative minds in music, such as the Estate of Marvin Gaye, George Clinton, Bastille, Marshmello, Travis Scott, Taz Taylor, Ian Dior, Megan Pete (Megan Thee Stallion), Juice WRLD, Mitch Mula, Nicole Scherzinger, and Tinashe. Since being out on her own she has represented many up-and-coming artists and producers, including but not limited to Andrea Alexander (Writer for 2022 Album of the Year “We Are,” Jon Batiste), the Estate of Isaac Hayes, Brian Alexander Morgan (the producer for SWVs iconic albums from 1992 – 1997); Darrin Henson (Choreographer and Actor); and Juwan Mass (Ghost Brother), to name a few.
Brittney has been featured in magazines, such as The Top 100 Attorneys (2024) and Marquis Who’s Who (2024), and she has been recognized by Best Lawyers as Someone to Watch in the areas of Entertainment and Intellectual Property law (2023 – 2025), The National Black Lawyers in its Top 40 Under 40 list for California (2018 – 2019), and The National Advocates as one of California’s Top 20 Employment Lawyers under the age of 40 (2018). Brittney is also a member of some of the most prestigious organizations in her field, such as the Recording Academy and ForbesBLK. Some of her most notable career accomplishments include editing the UCLA coursebook on Intellectual Property and Business Law in the Music Industry, and transitioning from an intern at Foley and Lardner working for Donald J. Trump’s legal team on the Trump University case to solo practitioner now known as the “Women behind the Hayes-Trump IP Resolution.”
A former elite gymnast and student-athlete, Brittney is motivated by building value and setting and meeting goals. She is a trusted team player with the ability to lead and sustain performance. In her spare time, you can find Brittney teaching yoga or singing at an open mic night.
