A southern original, Diable’s voice bends as whimsical and unyielding as the Mississippi River, as her timeless melodies and lyrics channel the mystical within the everyday, the transcendent silver lining within the ordinary, weaving an intricate web of singularity that is Diable’s calling card.
Diable first gained widespread acclaim with her 2015 album Create Your Own Mythology, produced by Grammy-winning Dave Cobb. Praised by NPR, American Songwriter, and Southern Living, the record established her as a powerful voice in modern music. Known for her commanding stage presence, she has graced iconic stages from Austin City Limits to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, as well as intimate clubs and theaters, earning a devoted following for her soulful, captivating performances.
Her music has become a staple in film and television, with placements in HBO’s True Blood and Treme, Netflix’s Virgin River, CBS’s Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver, and Amazon’s One Mississippi.
On-screen, Diable co-wrote and starred in the award winning short-film “Forever Waves.” Director and producer Jeffrey Roedel enlisted Diable on the project as a co-writer and composer as well. Diable’s Speakeasy Records has been the home for album and single releases, publishing, syncs for film and television, and live productions including The Speakeasy Songwriter’s Revue, a weekly series showcasing local and touring songwriters in New Orleans, sponsored by BMI.
In the Fall of 2023, Diable was recruited by Loyola University’s Music Industries program to teach and mentor students in the Craft and Business of Songwriting, sharing her creative experience to support other young artists come into their own.
Her anticipated follow up album, “Impossible Things” is slated for release March 2026 via Speakeasy Records. Recorded at the historic Dockside Studios in the swamps of South Louisiana, it’s a transcendent, haunting joy ride rooted in Diable’s mystical southern americana foundation, while projecting into new unchartered cosmic, cinematic, electronic pop sonic landscapes.
