Lou Hill

Born and raised in the city of New Orleans, Lou Hill has been in the music industry for more than 25 years. Trained as a professional musician, Lou Hill has had the opportunity to work on multiple sides of the music business. As founder, songwriter and drummer for the Billboard Top 20 charting band Water Seed, he has the proven experience to understand the ever-  changing music industry. Formerly the head of marketing for Louisiana Red Hot Records, he is now heavily involved in helping the growth of the New Orleans’ music industry. In 2023, Lou Hill was named one of the top 500 industry professional by Biz New Orleans for his work in the music and entertainment industry.

He is presently the CEO of the Water Seed Music Group and Moonrise Entertainment, LLC. Some of his present projects include Water Seed, HaSizzle the King of Bounce, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s Suite Sundays, Geaux Live Nola!, HispaNola Live!, Music in the Park Festival and more.

When not performing or producing, Lou Hill works as a music business consultant. He also has experience in the areas of video game sound design and soundtracks, commercial music composition, movie and television sound design and movie and television soundtrack composition.

Hill’s latest venture expands the Water Seed universe into animation, comic, video games and immersive experiences. Water Seed’s Journey to Funkstar is a fully immersive concert experience breaking ground in the live music performance arena.
