Finding a Career in Music for Media
Presented by the Society of Composers & Lyricists

What does it take to thrive as a modern media composer? Drawing from the expansive career of Jeff Rona, a renowned composer whose work spans a broad range of musical styles and media, including film, television, video games, music licensing, and solo projects, this session will offer valuable insights for both aspiring and experienced music creators. Topics will include the creative, technical, logistic, and psychological aspects of composing for picture, including the important differences between working in film and TV versus the video game world, and the essential skills needed by today’s composers, including vital strategies for building relationships and starting or sustaining a rewarding and meaningful career.
