Margie Perez

Margie Perez is a vivacious singer and songwriter specializing in a versatile blend of Blues, Pop, and Latin music with a funky New Orleans touch. Dubbed as one of the hardest working musicians in New Orleans by Offbeat Magazine, Margie leads her own band, showcasing her original music. Her 2017 release “Love Is All” was honored as one of Offbeat’s 50 Favorite CDs and received three “Best of the Beat” award nominations.

In addition to her solo work, Margie co-leads the hot Latin Big Band Muévelo and sings in other Latin ensembles, Los Tremolo Kings, Cuba Heat and Quimbo Quimbumbia. She also lends her captivating vocals to Kumasi Afrobeat Orchestra, N.O.B.A.B.E. (the powerhouse collective of female musicians), the acoustic Soul band Tetrad and Afro Cuban Sacred Group Michael Skinkus & Moyuba.
