Legatron Prime (she/her) is a New Orleans native and multi-hyphenated Creative. Since getting her professional DJ started in 2015, she has transformed each space she’s entered while making a mark in the New Orleans nightlife scene with her original sets, nods to her culture, and emphasis on ‘consent-only dance floors. ‘ Her unique style, which blends genres and emphasizes cultural influence, has made her a fixture with multiple residencies such as Dragons Den, Hi-Ho Lounge (now No Dice), Virgin Hotel and Cafe Istanbul, self-produced events like “The Legendary Legatron’s Players Ball, ” and the new popular dance series Kaytraaaa! Club!’. She is a co-producer, co-DJ, and creative director of New Orleans’ only women’s party, “Where My Girls At? NOLA”, which focuses on safe party spaces for women and women-identifying. Because of her versatility and genre-blending style, she has performed at festivals like Live in America Festival, BUKU Festival, Fete Du Void, French Quarter Fest, and Essence Music Festival of Culture and was also a featured DJ on the UK-based brand Boiler Room, in conjunction with Free Water, the first Boiler Room in New Orleans since 2017 and one of four New Orleans DJ’s to land an official Apple Music Superbowl LIX mix. Legatron Prime has been recognized by publications, including OffBeat Magazine’s nomination as Best DJ in 2018 and The Gambits’ 40 under 40 in 2023. She has worked with notable brands such as Saint Heron, Target, My Black Is Beautiful, SheaMoisture, Bacardi, Soho House, Spotify, and Coca-Cola. Aside from national brands, she takes pride in being homegrown. Her local resume extends from Health initiative brands such as Crescent Care and Viiv Healthcare to art and Museum sectors such as New Orleans African American Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, Contemporary Art Center, and Ogden Museum, entertainment brands like Abstract NOLA, Pure Intentions, Ascendance and Set De Flo, and educational and cultural brands such as BE Nola, Bayou Road Business Association, and Our Voice Nuestra Voz. Legatron Prime has opened for artists such as Bobby Nsenga, Chuck English, Sevyn Streeter, BbyMutha, Cupcakke, Sango, Kaytranada, DJ PeeWee (Anderson.Paak), and DJ Candle Stick and has worked in Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA; Mobile, AL, Bentonville, AR, and Miami, FL. Wherever she lands, she emphasizes cultural influence and preservation of New Orleans while working with her colleagues, local and global brands, and artists to push the music scene of New Orleans forward.
