Hannah Is the Director of Operations at Grounds Krewe, a non-profit committed to reducing the impact of waste created by New Orleans’ special events. Grounds Krewe has helped orchestrate recycling and waste reduction strategies at Beignet Fest, Crescent City Blues and BBQ, Congo Square Rhythm and Blues, Top Taco, Jazzfest, and many more as well as starting an on the parade route Mardi Gras Recycling program dubbed “Recycle DAT!” By the City of New Orleans. She is a member of the “Trashformers” an interactive recycling marching Krewe, the Emerald Coast Pixies a tribe of women who volunteer to stay sober and provide management and support for musicians in recovery, and she has served on the Board of Earth Day Mobile Bay in her hometown of Fairhope, AL for many years. She believes that New Orleans is ripe for the kind of environmental stewardship revolution that has already happened in many parts of the US and hopes that the music industry’s capacity to bring people together can help fuel that change here. Her favorite things to do are dance, blow giant bubbles and teach children about micro plastics by sharing biodegradable glitter.
