New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Assistance Foundation, Board President

Dr. Peggy Honoré

Dr. Peggy Honoré is Board President of the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Assistance Foundation (NOMC&AF). She was appointed to this role in January 2024. Working with total support and engagement from the NOMC&AF Board, the organization has transitioned to a new business and primary care model with CrescentCare, a Federally Qualified Health Center. This action was taken to improve the quality of medical care provided to the musicians of New Orleans, to strengthened the organization’s financial sustainability, and to expand its program offerings such as Music-as-Medicine utilizing music therapy in hospitals and other group settings.

Dr. Honoré  is the AmeriHealth Caritas-General Russel Honoré Endowed Professor at LSU Health Sciences Center-NO in the School of Public Health and School of Medicine. She has over 35 years of international, federal, and state level experience in health care and public health research and practice. She received her Doctorate in Health Administration with Honors from the Medical University of South Carolina and Master of Health Administration from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine.
