Save The Music, Deputy Executive Director and Chief Development Officer

Danielle Zalaznick

Danielle Zalaznick is a nonprofit executive dedicated to advancing equity in music education. As Deputy Executive Director and Chief Development Officer at Save The Music, she partners with the Executive Director to lead the organization’s growth, strategy, and fundraising—now managing a $10 million annual budget that has doubled since her tenure began.

With nearly 20 years of experience in philanthropy and nonprofit management, Danielle spearheads Save The Music’s comprehensive fundraising efforts—including corporate partnerships, major gifts, board-level cultivation, and high-profile events.

A passionate advocate for expanding music access, she launched the Save The Music Music Industry Advisory Board, forging dynamic collaborations with leading organizations such as Apple Music, Amazon Music,  SiriusXM, Gibson, CAA, UTA, Primary Wave, Sony, Universal Music Group, Wasserman Music  and Warner Music Group to reach communities across the country.

Danielle also established Save The Music’s beloved annual Nashville event, honoring songwriters and executives who champion music education. Past honorees include Maren Morris, Lee Ann Womack, Old Dominion, Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman, Trisha Yearwood, Brittney Spencer, Mickey Guyton, and Brandy Clark.

She is deeply engaged with Save The Music’s Board of Directors, cultivating relationships with industry-leading figures such as Jesse Collins, Nat Zilkha, and Bob Carrigan, working together to expand the organization’s impact and champion music education.

With artists including Ed Sheeran, Becky G, and Jelly Roll, she creates immersive opportunities for meaningful engagement between students and industry icons. In her own words, “Given the current and historic challenges public schools face in securing resources for music programs, we see the opportunity and responsibility to address those needs.” (artistandfan.com)

Prior to Save The Music, Danielle spent more than a decade at UJA-Federation of New York as Associate Director and Major Gifts Officer in the Entertainment, Media, and Communications Division. She raised over $5 million annually, executed a slate of more than 10 signature events (including four galas) each year, and managed a robust major gifts portfolio—marking her as a powerhouse in entertainment philanthropy.

Danielle lives in Larchmont, NY, with her husband Adam, three stepchildren, and her beloved poodles, Ginger and Spike. She’s also a proud Big Sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and serves on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester Board, embodying her enduring commitment to mentorship and her community.
